I had a great time seeing everybody at the New Hampshire show yesterday. It was a fun one, and we sold a lot of geckos.
Things have been going really well over here. I have a ton of little babies jumping around at home. Mostly pinstripes, oddly enough. I am looking forward to growing them up and seeing what develops. I like to hold back my babies until they are sexable or their true colors/patterns come out. That way my customers know exactly what they are getting, and they have a well-started gecko.
I have been in Massachusetts for a year now, and have really been enjoying my work post-docing at the animal behavior clinic at the Tufts vet school. We see dogs, cats, birds, and horses at the clinic, mostly anxious or aggressive types. I am hoping once I get my certification as an Applied Animal Behaviorist, to go into business on my own. It is a tough title to get though (Ph.D., coursework, several years of experience, good recommendations, panel review, etc.), but I am working with top people in the field and learning a lot every day. I am still adjusting to life in MA- so different than Texas. But, the reptile business is booming and I have met so many nice people at the shows. I always end up having a blast there.
Well, thats it for now.
