Hey There,

Long time no post. I have been laying low, but trust me, there is some really cool stuff about to happen this year. I have darn near sold out of geckos but I am expecting a ton of eggs to hatch out in May. This year is going to be the best year ever as far as color, pattern, and structure are concerned. My superdalmatian groups are insane and I can't wait to grow up some of their offspring. I will also be producing some killer harlequins (reds, high-contrasts, darks, etc) this year. And my supercool orange and red blotch female gargoyles are also laying eggs. I now have a way to get my geckos to the Hamm show in Germany which means I can send geckos out to European customers now. I will be moving this year again as my post-doc in Massachusetts ends in September, so the July show in New York may be my last in the Northeast for a while. Things have been pretty good out my way. I spent last weekend with a few friends I have in New York. Tonight I'm hitting a good psychobilly show, The Koffin Kats, from the Rock City- my hometown! I am finishing up a night class that I've been taking at Harvard and I have a week long class coming up on an island where I will be studying bird social behavior. After that, I will be all set for my credits for the applied animal behavior certification I came here to get. The next few months should have me immersed in a job search. I will keep you posted on my whereabouts as news comes in and also on some other cool stuff I've been working on.

Best!

Kati

I had a great time seeing everybody at the New Hampshire show yesterday.  It was a fun one, and we sold a lot of geckos.

Things have been going really well over here.  I have a ton of little babies jumping around at home.  Mostly pinstripes, oddly enough.  I am looking forward to growing them up and seeing what develops.  I like to hold back my babies until they are sexable or their true colors/patterns come out.  That way my customers know exactly what they are getting, and they have a well-started gecko.

I have been in Massachusetts for a year now, and have really been enjoying my work post-docing at the animal behavior clinic at the Tufts vet school.  We see dogs, cats, birds, and horses at the clinic, mostly anxious or aggressive types.  I am hoping once I get my certification as an Applied Animal Behaviorist, to go into business on my own.  It is a tough title to get though (Ph.D., coursework, several years of experience, good recommendations, panel review, etc.), but I am working with top people in the field and learning a lot every day.  I am still adjusting to life in MA- so different than Texas.  But, the reptile business is booming and I have met so many nice people at the shows.  I always end up having a blast there.

Well, thats it for now.

I am sorry that I have not updated the site in a few weeks....   My digital camera broke and is in the shop.  Until it is fixed or replaced, or I can borrow one, I can't update the site with new available geckos.  I have several killer babies reaching sexable status and two top notch females coming up onto the site ASAP.

Thanks,  Kati

Heya Folks,

Just updated the site with pics of new available geckos.  I will be adding some unsexed gargoyle juvis this weekend.

I had a good time at the White Plains show.  I met a lot of interesting people at this one, and saw some old faces too.  I sold most of my mid-range geckos at the New Hampshire show a few weeks before, so I had a lot of young holdbacks in New York.  I am hoping for some of them to be sexable by the Hamburg show in June.  Their color and patterns will come in more by then too.

Hope you all are doing well.  It is now Spring in Massachusetts!  The sun is shining and it seems like a whole different place.

Thanks to everyone who came by the table at the New Hampshire show.  I had a good time meeting you all and sent some of my geckos off to lovely new homes.  Send me a picture of them in their new home or with you (and blurb if you want), and I'll add it to the site.

I'll be updating the site with pics of new available geckos early this week, so keep 'yer eyes peeled!
